Internecine (2024)

The Baron is a crime boss renowned by those who join his elite and highly exclusive club. His patrons receive the promise of wealth beyond what they could ever hope to spend, but to join they must play a game. A game in which they could win it all or lose everything.

Internecine is a stylish representation of the exploitation of the struggling leading to the success of those who exploit them, and the brutality of this cycle.

A 1 minute runtime prevented me from telling a deep story with complex character arcs and the project instead focuses on presenting the simple story through captivating style with an intriguing premise and characters. Internecine was a project that didn’t receive the care and focus it should have and as such is not a perfect representation of my filmmaking, but regardless I’m glad to have made it, and love it for being my first completed film and an interesting challenge to get it down to 60 seconds.
